Well,  I'm going to use Excuse #512 (it was Thanksgiving!), just like Judy did!!  However, I added yardage--Judy didn't!  So, here's what happened...

 

I have 2 beautiful little granddaughters in Hawaii, and they both love Dora, the Explorer.  (Dora came as a surprise to me about two and a half years ago--I was still in the Sesame Street era!) I made my older granddaughter a Dora pillowcase a couple of years ago--she takes turns using it with the younger granddaughter.  Now Dora shares the scene with princesses, so...2 yards of different princess fabrics and 1 yard of Dora fabric which will become pillowcases, hopefully this week.  And then, because Grandma loves angels, there are also 2 yards of different angel fabrics!  (When I worked at the library, I told an aspiring writer of children's books that if she wrote about princesses and used pink on the cover, her books would be a success!)

 

We don't have family close, so my husband and I helped with the community Thanksgiving dinner at the civic center, for our second year.  It was wonderful--we gain so much more from it than we contribute.  The roads were clear of snow/ice, which we think contributed to lower numbers.  But those who ate with us spent time visiting--and that's one of the goals of the dinner.  

 

I guess I have my work cut out for me this week--getting pillowcases made and getting my stash used number up to 200 yards.  As I look out the window, the trees are frosted with new snow and big flakes are floating gently to the ground.
