STASH REPORT - Weeks 40-41, 2012

Used this Week: 5 1/4 yards
Added this Week: 29 1/2 yards

Used year to Date: 176 1/4 yards
Added Year to Date: 98 3/4 yards

Net Stash Decrease for 2012:  77 1/4 yards

Did I go backwards or what?!!  I completely dismissed stash-busting when I saw those pretty yardages on JoAnn's Red Tag shelves with an additional 50% off!  I did get a little over 4 yards of patriotic fabric--but that was the only positive excuse I can make for bringing home those 2 bags.  Well, I can also say that I paid only $2 and $3 a yard for all of the fabric I bought--for their $10-12 a yard fabric!  Now I'll really have to work to get back to 100 yards decrease.

I have the blocks sewn together on my black & white UFO for this month.  I used the yard of B&W I purchased at JoAnn's (see above) and still had to search through my scraps to have enough to finish the quilt top.  I wanted to put piping and prairie points on the edge--but don't have enough fabric left (only have about a quarter of a yard) to make them--so the quilt top is "resting" while I think about what to do next.  Hope everyone was more disciplined than myself this week.

  1. It's so hard to say no to fabric when it's on sale. You did good with your 70 to 80% off.
